We learned operations on film sets
On It Service began with clients who noticed that our team finished what it started, on time and on budget, and kept handing us the next job.
We started in film production, where a call sheet, a budget and a shoot date leave no room for excuses. The same habits carried over to international nonprofits, start-ups, trade organizations and long-established companies: plan the work, write it down, check it off.
Today we work as a small operations firm. Robert leads every engagement as a fractional or interim COO or as the senior operator on a project, and our team does the work that needs extra hands: project management, coordination, administration, events and digital operations.
Robert Rippberger
Founder and principal
Robert has spent his career starting and running organizations that had to deliver on a fixed date.
He was lead producer of The Inventor, a stop-motion feature with Daisy Ridley, Stephen Fry and Marion Cotillard. It competed at the Annecy animation festival in 2023 and was nominated for an Annie Award. He directed and produced Renner, released by Seismic Releasing in 2025.
In 2023 he co-founded a film studio in Spring Hope, North Carolina, now White Lightning Studios. He founded SIE Society, a professional association that lists more than 1,700 members, and its annual Impact + Profit Conference, co-presented with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs. He also runs UniVenue, a venue-management platform for colleges, and has served as president of FinalMation Studios.

Vasil builds the systems behind our engagements: websites, member platforms, internal tools and the AI assistant we run for SIE Society.
The team
Behind them is a team of project managers, coordinators and administrators who keep the plans, handle the admin and do the follow-up, remotely and on site.

Where we work
We are based in Los Angeles and work with companies across the United States, on site when the work needs it and remotely when it doesn’t. We also take engagements in Canada and the United Kingdom.
