From one AV job to running CLOC’s operations
CLOC, the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium, brought us in for a single job in 2016. The work grew as the organization did.
The situation
In 2016 CLOC held its first conference, two days in San Francisco with heads of legal operations from companies including Yahoo, Cisco, NetApp, Google and Facebook. We were hired to run all of the AV. After that event, CLOC asked us to be the first team to help its leadership with growth and day-to-day operations.
What we took on
- Support for CLOC’s regional groups
- Webinar coordination and editing
- Initiative management
- AV and electrical planning, with the price negotiations
- Member forum engagement
- Management and tagging of the document library
- Content management for more than 200 conference sessions
- Final deck porting and quality checks for speakers
- Member permissions for online content
- Speaker portal tracking
- Schedule entry in Cvent
- Building, releasing and managing the CrowdCompass event app
- Event schedules, printing and sponsor AV support
Special projects
- Designed, built and rolled out a speaker portal for the organization.
- Produced more than 180 speaker videos.
- Ran negotiations that saved CLOC more than $150,000.
What happened to the organization
Over the years we supported CLOC, membership grew from 300 to 2,400 people in 46 states and 47 countries, from 1,200 companies that together made up 70% of the Fortune 100. The growth was CLOC’s; our job was to make sure operations kept up with it.
